Despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mdumisa Professional Sound and Music Solutions continues to thrive.

The declaration of the national lockdown in March 2020 may have strained the music industry but, it was a blessing in disguise for Siyamdumisa Zwane, founder of Mdumisa Business, as it marked the beginning of a new and exciting era for his business.

While this was a great test of his faith, Siyamdumisa remained hopeful and invested his time and energy towards establishing the home studio he had always dreamed of, unaware that his efforts would soon lead to the birth of the award-winning song, Enqabeni.

What started with recording and sharing music clips that Siya created with his sister, soon led to the birth of the hit song 'Enqabeni', produced by Siyamdumisa and written by singer and songwriter, Reginald Jabu.

Not only was the song received well by fans and the general public, but it brought home two Mpumalanga Gospel Awards - Best Male Artist and Best Single.

Within 3 months of release, Siya had the honour of producing Jabu's Live DVD Recording, which will be released at the end of July 2021!

Siyamdumisa has since produced another hit sing, Sophalala, in partnership with Musawenkosi Phungwayo - released in February 2021.

As the business continues to grow, Siya reflects on the past year with a lot of gratitude and looks towards the future with excitement for what is to come!
